President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa says the largest numbers of jobs will be created by the private sector in several industries as the economy recovers. He was speaking during Nation State address #SONA last night on the 11 February 2021 at 7pm
President Cyril Ramaphosa says government’s priority on employment stimulus is to create jobs and support livelihoods.
President emphasizes that the residential Employment Stimulus is one of the most significant expansions, by the end of January 2021, over 430,000 opportunities have already been supported through the stimulus and a further 180,000 opportunities are currently in the recruitment process.
He adds that these opportunities are in areas like education, arts and culture, global business services, early childhood development, and small-scale and subsistence farming.
He further adds that V11 17 Nearly half a million people are now receiving an income, developing new skills and contributing to their community and the country’s economy.
