HEALTH MEC PHOPHI RAMATHUBA TO MONITOR COVID-19 VACCINATION ROLLOUT WITH CORRECTIONAL SERVICE STAFF

LIMPOPO: On 16 July 2021, the Limpopo Health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba will continue to monitor the workers for Friday special COVID-19 vaccination rollout with correctional Services staff as part of stepping up the fight against Covid-19 in the province. The Friday vaccination launch will occur at Seshego Hospital (Polokwane Municipality-Capricorn District), at 9am in the morning.

The Department together with the sectors planned for the vaccination rollout for in comings weeks which include Social Development, Home affairs, Traffic officers, SARS, Department of Justice and National Prosecuting Authority (NPA). Some of these workers will be visited to their workplace. The 37 primary vaccination sites will be made available on Fridays for vaccination of these above sectors. All staff members are required to bring proof of employment, identity document and medical Aid details to the vaccination site.

MEC Ramathuba call upon all the Correctional Service staff to welcome this opportunity and present themselves in their allocated facility for Covid-19 vaccination especially that they are already loaded on the Electronic Vaccination Delivery System. The Covid-19 vaccination sites per District that will be responsible for in vaccinating correctional service staff are below listed.

  • Capricorn District(Seshego Hospital)
  • Mopani District (Van Velden Hospital)
  • Sekhukhune District (Matlala Hospital)
  • Vhembe District (Louis Tridchat Hospital, Donald Fraser Hospital, Thohoyandou Community Centre
  • Waterberg District (MDR-TB Hospital)
