The Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) says it takes pride in publishing the 2021 funding status and aim to provide stakeholders with the 2021 NSFAS funding programme to support and approve deserving both at public TVET Colleges and Universities.
Earlier this week, NSFAS reported it had received and processed registration data from public institutions and is continually making payments for students who are deserving candidates.
Furthermore, the report covers 2021 application status updates, allowance paid to institutions to date and also a breakdown of the funding allocation to each institution .
NSFAS Spokesperson, Kagisho Mamabolo says they intend in resolving any exceptions with the 2021 programme cycle and soon will start with the 2022 application cycle.
The schedule identified a few exceptions related to non-compliance to the DHET ruled and guidelines in registration data that are not aligned to funded qualifications, therefore the DHET also addressed the anticipated shortfall and NSFAS is confident to fund deserving students.
