The set vaccination target of 61 572 has been exceeded in Limpopo as 73 609 educators and support staff were vaccinated. The target of 61 572 people was for educators, administration and support staff appointed by the Limpopo Department of Education, educators appointed by School Governing Bodies (SGB), and educators in the independent schools sector.
Limpopo MEC for Education, Polly Boshielo has expressed appreciation at how the vaccination process for the basic education sector has unfolded in the province. “We are elated by the positive response we have seen from our educators and support staff.
Furthermore, the MEC says this achievement would have not been possible without the tireless efforts of the executive management team in our head office, district and circuit officials and the departmental health and safety committee.
