Dr Phophi Ramathuba, MEC for the Limpopo Department of Health, applauds security officers at Witpoort Hospital in Lephalale.
They spotted a thief attempting to take one of their scare’s life-saving resources, an ambulance, last night, the 31st of July 2021, during their patrols and alerted the police.
Ramathuba says they are trying hard to address shortages of ambulances by procuring them annually and unfortunately criminals like this once continuously put them on a setback.
They just hope the justice system can play it’s part and set an example so that no one can ever think of stealing such a scare resources. Ambulances belongs to the community and the community must be the first protector of this resource which will be there to save their lives the day they needed it.
They applaud the good work done by our security guards and the police.
