MEC for Social Development Nkakareng Rakgoale was handing over tablets to learners of Ramakanyane Secondary School in partnership with MTN on Friday.

“MTN believes everyone deserves the benefits of remaining connected…”, said MTN Regional Marketing Manager Benjamin Malokase. He mentioned that one of the biggest things happening involves MTN investing R350 million to upgrade network in Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and the Eastern part of the North West.

After sharing a short story motivating the class of 2021 Malokase added, “the future is really in your hands. In addition to donating the tablets, MTN has committed to assisting Ramakanyane Secondary with a signage to the school.

MEC Rakgoale advised the learners by alerting them that substance abuse is going to destroy their future. She continued to say that we need to learn living with the new normal which is impacted by the corona virus. She also wished all the women a happy Women’s month.

Rakgoale outlined that even though they had agreed to giveaway 11 tablets to learners, it is with careful consideration that they will be giving away only 5 tablets to the Top 5 – and the remaining will belong to the school for research purposes. “We want to thank MTN for their gesture”, she added.

Giving vote of thanks the school principal emphasized that the MEC and MTN should adopt the school and continued to say, “our thanks will be a 100% pass”. She expressed gratitude and urged the learners to work hard in order to achieve the pass.
