The Club has confirmed in a statement the signing of a 31-year-old defender Buhle Mkhwanazi on Wednesday, the 18th of August 2021.

Mkhwanazi has signed on a one-year deal with an option to renew for a further year. He has been training with the club for the last few weeks and coach Kaitano Tembo has been impressed by his fitness.

The club CEO Stan Matthews added that Buhle brings maturity, character and leadership at the back where the void of Clayton Daniels, Bongani Khumalo and Grant Kekana has left them in terms of experience.

He further added that the defender knows what is required to win trophies at an ambitious club and will add value to the team as well as positively impacting younger players in the squad.

Mkhwanazi could make his club debut on Saturday, the 21st of August 2021 when SuperSport take on Cape Town City at Cape Town Stadium in their DStv Premiership opener.
