Manchester United has confirmed in a statement on Friday, the 27th of August 2021 that they have reached an agreement with Juventus for Christiano Ronaldo’s transfer, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical aid.

The 36-year-old returns to the club after 12 years away, where he won 8 major trophies including the Ballon D’or as the world’s best player in 2008 before securing a then world record 80 million pounds move to Real Madrid.

In the 2007-2008 season he scored 118 goals in 292 games and won the Premier League Golden Boot, it is also the year he aided the Old Trafford club claim their last Champions League Title.

Ronaldo who is a five-time Ballon D’or winner has also won over 30 major trophies during his career, including five UEFA Champions Leagues titles, four FIFA Club World Cups, seven League Titles in England, Spain and Italy, and the UEFA European Championship for his native Portugal.

The club further announced that they are looking forward into welcoming him back home, Manchester.
