The Mogwase Magistrates Court postponed the murder case against Nancy Majonhi aged 42 to 12 October 2021 for bail application due to ill-health which also prevented her from appearing in court on 21 September 2021 for bail hearing.
After she was given medical attention for health improvements before her appearance in court, reports revealed that her state of health has not improved, owing to her refusal to eat while in police custody.
Police reports revealed that Nancy Majonhi was staying with her husband, Prosper Chipungare aged 44 at a rented room in Ledig near Sun City when they had a fight on Tuesday, 28 July 2015 leading to Majonhi allegedly assaulting her husband with a hammer until he fainted. After cutting her husband’s body parts in three different pit latrines, she cleaned the house and reported her husband as missing at Sun City police.
Furthermore, the investigations by the police are underway as they managed to retrieve a skull and bones which will be subjected to DNA tests. Majonhi will remain in police custody until her next court appearance as the authorities Also Still continue to monitor her health status leading to her court appearance.
