It has become a task for Heita FM to contribute what they can to local charities. The charity organisation is catering for young children who are poor, those without parents and also those who cannot sustain their lives. The event took place at Mankweng Unit-G, Lesego La Bana Drop In Centre on Saturday, 13th of November 2021.

An Online Radio station is targeting children between the ages of 5 to 18 years and the main aim is to uplift the community for a prosperous future. The station is appealing to other organisations in the province to help with clothes, non-perishable food and stationery.

Kholofelo Kgatle, the owner of Amogelang lesego la bana, furthermore says”i wasn’t expecting much, but I’m grateful that Heita FM came to my rescue” The biggest challenge we are facing at the organisation is that, children are suffering emotionally on a daily basis and we are appealing to the government to intervene by providing social workers”

One of the stuff members, Given Mogale says” it is very much important to donate, by doing so we live by the ethos of Nelson Mandela who always considered other people” we are glad to have made a difference in their lives”

Nompumelelo Nxadi, the organiser of the event, says” it wasn’t easy but with the support of the management of Heita FM and sponsors, we managed to pull through and we are looking forward to support local communities even next year”
