The MEC for Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure, Mr Ernest Rachoene, opened today’s proceedings by addressing the induction workshop of Roads Agency Limpopo (RAL) Board of Directors.
In his keynote address, the MEC congratulated the newly appointed Board Members, describing their appointment as a vote of confidence in their leadership, integrity, and ability to serve the people of Limpopo with distinction.
He urged the Board to restore the dignity of the Agency and to always prioritise the needs of communities especially those in rural areas, by delivering infrastructure that is safe, accessible, and transformative.
On his speech MEC, Rachoene urged all the members to be proud and be willing to strive forward and put a lot of work.

He said “You assume this responsibility at a critical juncture, not only in the life of the Agency, but in the life of our province and our country.
“Our communities are not just asking for roads, they are demanding a future with dignity, mobility, and opportunity.”
Rachoene emphasised that RAL must be more than just a service provider, it must be a strategic instrument for economic transformation, spatial justice, and rural development, embodying the values of a developmental state that leaves no one behind.
This marks the beginning of a three-day programme, which will culminate in a formal Board meeting on Friday, 09 May 2025.
