Tonight is the last day of UEFA Champions League to finalize the final 16 teams that will progress to the next stage.
As per rules from the new format system, top 8 teams qualify automatically while teams from 9th to 24 will battle to book spot into the remaining last Eight spot.
AC Milan midfielder Christian Pulisic believes that his side will be heading into this fixture with a mentality of collecting maximum points.
He said “Tomorrow(29th January) we have a great opportunity: by winning we can get into the top eight. The Champions League is the most beautiful competition there is, we have to give everything to win.
“It will not be an easy game. I have already played here with Chelsea and I know how tough it is. There will be a fantastic atmosphere.”
Should they collect three points AC Millan might finish inside top8 of Champions League group campaign if they don’t drop points.
It’s not only players who feels like it’s possible for the team to achieve whatever they want to achieve as a group.
As the ‘American Captain’ revealed that they get motivation from technical team and that serves as mental boost.
Pulisic said “The coach has given us more intensity and changed the spirit of the group. This is fundamental for us, considering that we play every three days and we don’t have much time to train. You need a strong mentality.”
The American Captain went on to clarify that coach and his assistant Davide Calabria have sorted out their misunderstanding.
Pulisic said “They solved everything right away. We have to look ahead and think exclusively about tomorrow’s match. The team’s spirit is high, especially after the victory against Parma.”
Pulisic also went on to emphasize that they have welcomed Kyle Walker and they have created safe environment for him.
He said “He’s settled in really well. He’s a top-notch player and he’ll be a big help to us.”
