Amazulu co-coach revealed that it will take time to hit ground running

Former Golden Arrows and Richards Bay FC coach Vusimuzi Vilakazi emphasized that players are still struggling to understand their(co-coaches) philosophy.

Amazulu FC didn’t start their campaign well into this season as they have managed to register one win out of their five Betway Premier matches so far.

Even on the cup competition they were knocked out on the first round of Carling Black Lable Cup by Stellenbosch FC.

Vilakazi is confident their season will turn around after they secured their first victory of the campaign when they beat Chippa United in their previous match.

He said “We can be worried, yes, but I don’t think we need to panic at this stage in time considering the fact that before the game that we played in the Carling Knockout Cup, we only had 10 days with the team with coach Arthur.

“So I think it is still a work in progress. It is just unfortunate that while that work is in progress, we are suffering in terms of getting that win, but we strongly believe that there are a lot of positives we can take going forward into our game. We just need to align a few areas, especially our defence structure.”

Vilakazi together with his troops will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they visit Richards Bay FC on 30th November 2024.

AmaZulu are currently on fifteenth spot with three points and have a goal different of -3, lost first four games in a row.
