As South Africa experience the different types of challenges during the daily basis, other politicians are not pulling on the same direction.
According to legit_info: ANCWL is leading a powerful march in Capetown Parliament to launch their concern regarding Gender Based Violence(GBV).
This march comes on the back of growing concerns about the persistent scourge of GBVF in the country.
According to the ANCWL, the rates of violence against women and children have reached alarming levels, prompting the call for a national emergency response.
The delegation, including senior ANCWL members, activists, and civil society groups, is set to deliver a memorandum to President Cyril Ramaphosa and key Cabinet members.
The memorandum outlines a series of immediate and long-term actions aimed at addressing the escalating crisis of GBVF.
Among the demands are enhanced law enforcement, improved victim support services, and the implementation of stricter laws that protect women and children from violence.
ANCWL President, Bathabile Dlamini on her statement emphasized that the country and law must take action against the GBV.

She said “The situation has become untenable, Every day, we hear tragic stories of women and children who are being subjected to horrific violence.
“The government must act now. By declaring GBVF a national disaster, the state will mobilize resources and take decisive steps to end this epidemic.”
Over the past few years, South Africa has witnessed a surge in the number of women killed, assaulted, and sexually violated, with some studies estimating that one in five women will experience GBVF in their lifetime.
These alarming figures have brought the issue of GBVF to the forefront of public discourse, leading to widespread calls for more radical and swift interventions.
The memorandum seeks to remind those in power that the lives of women and children are non-negotiable and that decisive action must be taken to protect them.
As the march progresses through the streets of Cape Town, it is clear that the ANC Women’s League intends to make its message heard loud and clear.
The call to declare GBVF a national disaster is not just a plea for action it is a demand for justice.
