Carlos Alcaraz has been a huge fan of his country fellow man Leo Messi from his childhood.
Ex-Saints midfielder over the weekend against Crystal Palace, he scored goal and after hit the celebration of CR7.
Everton loanee Carlos Alcaraz shared his reason why he used Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration.
He said “I have always liked Cristiano despite being Argentinian. Obviously Messi I think is the best player in the world.
“There is no doubt there. But I have always liked Cristiano, I like his consistency, his dedication, his hard work, the way he has evolved and changed his style of play over the years.
“He has evolved to keep playing at the highest level. That celebration was just down to liking him so much, I always admired him.”
Alcaraz shared his thoughts regarding derby against Liverpool where the fixture ended with draw and dram of red card.
He said “It was a mad derby, a crazy match, we were ahead and then in the end we managed to get a draw so a pulsating game and to say that was my first derby wearing this shirt, I really enjoyed it, it was a fantastic occasion.”
Alcaraz will be hoping to get more minutes when his side will be up against Manchester United on Saturday 22 February for EPL.
