Spanish giant Barcelona FC yesterday during their fixture against French side Brest S.C used some frendge players such as Frenkie de Jong.
After claiming their slinder Victory yesterday during UEFA Champions League, Barcelona coach revealed that midfielder is not on his best form.
Even though Frenkie de Jong didn’t display quality that he posses Barcelona coach Hansi Flick highlighted that he is working on how to bring the best out of the midfielder.
De Jong has now made nine appearances this season for Barca but still looks a long way short of his best at present.
Hansi Flick said “De Jong is working very hard to get back to his best level. He’s not 100%, but we’re working on it and he will. I am happy that the other midfielders are playing well,” he told reporters.
“We will try to get De Jong back to the best physical level, we are all working on it.”
The Dutchman was surprised by how some few supporters of the club reacted when De Jong was introduced towards the end of game.
De Jong’s future is also the subject of much debate once again. It’s been reported he’s been offered a new contract but is yet to respond to the club.
De Jong will be hoping to get more minutes when his side will be hosting Las Palmas on Saturday’s of 30th November 2024(La Liga, kickoff 15:00).
