Barcelona started season on high note where they even managed to lead the second place Real Madrid by seven points.
Suddenly everything changed from bad to worse as they are currently leading Real Madrid by single point.
Furthermore Los Blancos still have one game in hand to play equal games as Barcelona and Athletico Madrid are also closing gape at the top.
After their defeat against Las Palmas over the weekend, Barcelona now have another triggy task ahead of them where they will be facing Mallorca.
During Match post conference Barca coach Hansi Flick revealed that his side is under pressure right now.
He said “Before, the team could have won the game against Las Palmas and now we are feeling the pressure of not winning.
“Focus is essential, we need to take advantage of opportunities. The team, as I said before, tried to play. But what counts in football are goals and we haven’t scored many lately.
“There is always a reason why you score goals and it has to do with the opponent putting on the right pressing and finding the right moment.
“We have to find that pressing. When we defend as a unit, we play much better.”
When asked about the current results Flick highlighted that it doesn’t help to have ball position but at the end loss the game.
He said “We have had long possessions of the ball, many opportunities, but in the end, this is a struggle in the sense that I am there, but I have to be there and fight the duel.
“You have to fight in this league. We want to win this title, I want to see everyone fight.”
Flicks revealed why he has not handed the former Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny his debut.
He said “He has had a very good training session, but I can say that right now I have no plans to change the goalkeeper. Inaki is the starter, as I have said other times, and this is the way it is.
“Marc Casado has improved a lot since the beginning of the season. He has already played his first international match.
“He is a player who knows how to understand the opponents’ game and knows where he has to be at every moment.
“When we make a mistake, he knows where he has to stay and also with the ball he knows what he has to do. He positions himself very well and is doing very well.
In addition, he assured that Araujo “is improving a lot, raising his level, he is almost ready” and that “Olmo is back and available for the starting eleven”, where Lamine Yamal is also expected.
