Barcelona FC coach applauded his players for their never die spirit against Benfica

As UEFA Champions League resumed yesterday some clubs managed to secure their spot into the last 16 of this year’s edition.

Barcelona booked their space after a tough fixture against Benfica where they managed to come back from lead to eventually won the game.

Hansi Flick soldiers defeated the Portuguese giants by 5-4 goals where players such as Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha scored brace each.

After the match Barca coach Mr Flick revealed that he has never saw his side fight the way the fought against Benfica SC.

He said “I don’t think so, I’ve never experienced a comeback like that.”

Barca coach was pleased with how the Portuguese side managed to keep his side on the Bay during the first half.

He said “They made us defend very deep, in the second half we were much better and the substitutions helped us.”

During his conclusion Flicks refused to blame goal keeper for the second goal but emphasized that all players should take some responsibility.

He said “what player doesn’t make mistakes? It’s not one player, it’s the whole team. We win together and lose together.”

After securing their ticket into the next stage of the competition, Hansi Flick together with his troops will be hoping to continue with their fine form when they will be facing Valencia FC on Sunday (26th January), Kickoff set at 22:00.
