Barcelona midfielder confirms that his team mate want to stay at the club

As transfer window is still open, it will be interesting to see how teams will boost their squad.

For the past few days some media publication broke the news that Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo is set to exit the camp.

After yesterday’s results against Betis, Barca midfielder Pablo Gavi confirmed that his national team mate want to stay at the club.

Gavi said “The ‘Cules’ have to be calm. Many journalists make things up. In the press, many things come out that are lies.

“Araujo wants to stay at Barca and I trust that he will stay. I trust that Araujo has always wanted to stay.”

After progressing into the next stage of Copa del Rey, Gavi revealed that he is always ready for whatever position he will be deployed on it.

He said “I’m here for whatever he and the team need.”

Gavi went on to emphasize that he is not that kind of player who set target for himself and what matters to him is the success of the club.

He said “I don’t set myself a specific number of goals as a target. The most important thing is the team’s victories and, if I can score, all the better.”

Towards his conclusion Gavi revealed that his side were supposed to collect all maximum points during November and December fixtures.

He said “We deserved to win all the games in which we lost points. We have to do as we did today: score goals, be calm and enjoy ourselves.”

Gavi will be hoping to help his side to collect maximum points when they will be taking on Getafe on Saturday 18th January for La Liga and kickoff set at 22:00.
