Barcelona star break through to the first team last season and he was being rated amongst top players in Spain.
Lamine Yamal has achieved little with his club team and national side since he signed a first team contract.
Last season Yamal helped Spain to clinch Euro 24 and Olympic gold medal during Olympic games in France.
Recently Barcelona star made a shocking revelation regarding who is his idol since he was young.
Yamal revealed that he admires Neymar Jr and he also emphasized that Neymar has a unique style of playing compare to Messi.
Yamal went on to say he doesn’t take anything away from Argentinan hero but he has followed Neymar Jr since he was playing at Santos.
Yamal said “I was five years old when I saw Neymar at Santos, but seven years old when I saw him in person at FC Barcelona at the Camp Nou.
“It was incredible to see him. Yes, it’s true that (Lionel) Messi was there who was also incredible, but Neymar was something totally different. Neymar has always been my idol. He’s a star, a football legend.”
Yamal spoke about that during the award ceremony where he of won the Emerging Player Award at the recent Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai.
Yamal went on to give the Barcelona faithful reassurance and hope about his future with Spanish giant, where he said he hopes to continue his stint with his club, Barca.
He said “I don’t know when (the contract will be signed), but I believe it’ll be soon, In the end, Barça is the club of my life. I hope to renew my contract with them and to be with them as long as possible.
“I want to play in the Spanish league. I want to play for Barça, and yes, I will renew my contract. I will.”
When asked about his thoughts regarding La Liga title, Yamal revealed that he is sure they will win the title even though it won’t be easy.
He said “Of course. No question. In the end, La Liga will be won against the teams we’ve previously lost to. I think it’s about focus. We’ve shown in the important moments that we are the best and we’ll continue to do so.”
Yamal went to to inform public that all players are adapting to the system that is used by Hansi Flick and they will also give their all to 2025.
He said “We’ve looked to adapt to what he’s told us, and I think we’re doing it well. In 2025, we’ll give it our all to win trophies, starting with the Spanish Super Cup and hopefully, it will be the best year of our lives.”
Yamal will be hoping to add another silverware this coming Sunday when Barcelona face Real Madrid for Super Cup and kickoff set at 21:00.
