After being appointed by the club at the beginning of this current season, Nabi didn’t leave to expectations.
Chiefs started the season on fire while winning two first opening fixtures of the season but struggled to maintain their impressive form after being defeated by Mamelodi Sundowns.
Since then the Phefemi Glamour Boys were never been the same as they went three games without registering victory.
They played a draw against Magesi FC before FIFA breaks, then played 2-2 against Royal AM then lost to Polokwane City over the weekend by 2-0.
After their defeat against Rise and Shine at New Peter Mokaba Stadium, Nasreddine Nabi emphasized that his side are losing cause they can’t find the back of the net.
He said “We controlled the game maybe 90 minutes, against a strong a team like Polokwane.
“Polokwane created two opportunities, it’s two goals. Kaizer Chiefs created 265 opportunities. This is football, it’s a problem of Kaizer Chiefs.
“To score. I think we’re the best team in the PSL to create really opportunities. We don’t have another solution, only to continue to work seriously.
“I don’t want to kill the morale of my players today, I want to support them, I want to continue to work seriously and this is football.
“I have confidence in my players, I have confidence in the future, we’re in the right direction.
“The owners know what we want, what we needed, we’re clear and confident, my staff and myself. Don’t worry Kaizer Chiefs will come back, we’re in the right direction.”
Nabi went on to highlight that some people love to criticises while they don’t understand what is going on.
He said “I’m 200 percent sure we’re in the right direction. Everyone who is critical doesn’t know football.
“We need to support the players too much because they gave 200 percent today. Don’t forget we have young players, they need support.
Towards his conclusion Nabi emphasized that he has monitored his side and the only thing that is missing is the killer instinct.
He said “This is football, you have objectives, step by step. I observed my team’s progress, the only problem is scoring.”
