DSG captain not happy with how they bowled against Paarl Breezed

Over the weekend DSG suffered a shocker defeat when they were up against Paarl Breezed.

Breezed won the fixture by five wicked after match day number seven(7) and DSG found themselves at the bottom of the SA20 League.

But Breezed player “Zulu” believes that his side can be more dangerous in their upcoming fixtures.

Zulu said “We have incredible players who just haven’t found their form unfortunately and that’s cricket sometimes.

“But I think rather than dwelling on the past, we have an opportunity ahead of us. I’m pretty sure five wins will qualify us and that’s pretty much all we are interested in at the moment.

“With the quality we have in the dressing room, it just takes someone to light the fire and get them going.

“I think we need to make sure we dot the I’s and cross the T’s but I think there’s enough quality to get three from three [wins] at the moment.”

When asked by journalist “Zulu” Klusener if he was concerned about the team’s recent form, he revealed that he is concerned by everyone’s form.

Zulu said “I am concerned about everyone’s form at the moment, including mine, But I think we have enough talent in the squad to get going like I said.

“I have been in franchise cricket for a while and know that when a team picks up momentum late in a tournament, they are generally harder to stop.

“Yes we have work to do but that’s what keeps these players coming back.”

On the other hands the captain of DSG Keshav Maharaj was not impressed with how they managed the game.

He said “I don’t think we took too much pace off the bowl in that first power play, But in hindsight, should’ve, could’ve, would’ve won’t help now. We just have to look forward to the next three games and hope the results are in our favour.

“You never know what can happens from there.”
