After serving for more than decade as Minister in Namibia, former minister was forced to step down from his duty.
Tom Alweendo who served his term as minister in Namibia has resigned/revoked from his duty after completing his term.
Mr Alweendo served as part of the minister in Namibia where he was placed/tasked with Minister of Mines and Energy.
During his hand over/stepping down, Alweendo took his time to thanked those who have been on his side since he started/ took over the office of Minister.
He said “As I step down as Minister of Mines and Energy of Namibia, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you who have followed and supported my journey.”
According to Namibian.com.na: Alweendo reflected on his years of public service, which began in 2010 when he joined the government after serving as the Governor of the Bank of Namibia.

Here is what he wrote on his social media:
He said “ It has been an incredible honor to serve the Namibian people, first as Governor of the Bank of Namibia and later in government since 2010.”
According to Namibian.com.na: Alweendo’s departure comes amid growing interest in Namibia’s mining and energy sectors, particularly in oil exploration and renewable energy initiatives.
President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah elected Natangwe Ithete as the Minister of Industrialisation, Mines and Energy and deputy prime minister.
