Formula One racer says they are possibilities of missing 2025 season-opening car launch

Former world number one Max Verstappen wishes to miss the launch for the F1 75 car that will be held at the O2 Arena in London next February.

This event will be serving as a replacement at the traditional start-of-season operate as the series to celebrate a key anniversary.

During the announcement of the launch F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali shared that they aim to bring back their fans.

He said “For the first time we will bring together our fans, all 20 superstars of our sport and some very special guests to officially kick off our new season and mark our 75th year of racing.

“With 2025 set to be a classic season following all the drama so far in 2024, this is a fantastic opportunity for fans of all ages to experience up-close the incredible entertainment spectacle that is Formula One.”

After listening to the speech that was shared by CEO of F1, three times world champion Max Verstappen showed some frustration during a Call of Duty livestream.

He said “What is F1 75? What are you talking about?, when informed about the plan he responded by saying ” I don’t watch any F1… I hope I’m sick that week.”

The Dutchman has been vocal about his distaste for ‘the show’ that follows F1 around, making it clear that he only sticks around for the races rather than the extracurricular activities.

Verstappen went on to highlight that it is just pointless to organize something that doesn’t have a valuable meaning.

He said “For me, you can all skip these things, It’s not about the singer, it’s just standing up there, you look like a clown.

“I just like to always focus on the performance side of things. I don’t like all the things around it, anyway. I know, of course, in some places, they are part of it, but let’s say it’s not in my interest.”
