Ghanaian coach refuse to resign

Ghana football team failed to secure their spot in Morocco for AFCON and their coach Otto Addo revealed that he won’t resign.

Despite intense criticism after Ghana’s 2-1 loss to Niger in their final Group F match, Otto Addo defended his commitment to the team and vowed to stay in his role.

He said “I’m not the person to resign, If I had that mindset, I wouldn’t have made it as a player or a coach.

“Knowing where I’ve come from, resignation isn’t something I consider.People shouting for me to resign can’t affect me.”

Otto Addo during his post match review he highlighted that his side was not good enough when it comes to defending.

He said “We were aware of their strength in set pieces, as they scored from a corner the last time we faced them. We need to defend these situations better.”

Despite their defeat at the hands of Niger 2-1, Addo revealed that he is happy with how new players performed.

He said “There are positives to take, especially from the new players who stepped up and did well today.”

The defeat ensured that Ghana finish campaign with disappointment and ended the qualifiers at the bottom of their group without registering a victory.
