Kenya Football Federation issued statement regarding the incident between Shabana FC and Gor Mahia FC

Yesterday a fixture between the two powerhouse clubs from Kenya Gor Mahia and Shabana FC left many fans injured.

More than 60 fans were rushed into the hospital due to the different injuries they(fans) sustained before the match can end.

The Kenya Football Federation (FKF) has condemned the violence and is working with authorities to investigate the incidents and take disciplinary action, according to a report on kick off.

Here is the statement released/issued by Federation of Kenya Football:

According to the other publications they are some of the fans(Supporters) whom have sustained head injuries.

According to Africa.com: The battle erupted from two stands at the regular section housing fans from both teams when they started pelting stones at each other leaving scores with injuries.

The battle that lasted an hour attracted the attention of security apparatus both from the kenya police and GSU who responded and restored order.

This is the second incident where Gor Mahia fans have found themselves in the wrong hand of peace especially at the Stadium.

Previously, journalist was reportedly assaulted during a match between Gor Mahia and Marua Sugar, leading to the journalist’s hospitalization.
