Liverpool FC suffered a shocker defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur side yesterday during first leg of EFL cup.
Tottenham Hotspur grabbed a crucial goal at crucial stage of the game as Lucas Bergvall handed home side important victory.
During the game there were some quesanable decisions that were made by official together with VAR team, such as why Spurs player didn’t receive second yellow card.
After the fixture Liverpool coach Arne Slot was not impressed by the decision made by VAR technical team.
Talking about the incident Slot said “Not ideal, I think but I don’t know, I think maybe even the referee was like, ‘Ah, is this really happening? Is he scoring now this goal?’
“But he couldn’t change it and he didn’t have to speak to the whole stadium why he made the decision because it wasn’t a VAR decision.”
Other players from Liverpool camp were also not impressed by the decision that were took by the official referee.
Errors/wrong call were too many during the encounter between two side and one of the error was the one of Liverpool player(Dominic Solanke) who scored a goal but was ruled out.
Arne Slot together with his troops will be hoping to put smile on their faithful supporters when they will be taking on Accrington Stanley on Saturday (11th January 2025) for FA Cup 3rd round and kickoff set at 14:15.
After this upcoming fixture Liverpool will have to prepare for a tricky task where they will be facing Nottingham Forest on Tuesday (14th January), EPL fixture and kickoff set at 22:00.
