Man City midfielder urged his teammate to remain humble ahead of their tie against Madrid

After struggling with injury Manchester City captain Kevin De Bruyne managed to recover on time.

Manchester City will on Tuesday host Real Madrid for UEFA Champions League playoffs at Etihad Stadium.

As experienced player De Bruyne reminded his teammate about the quality that is being possessed by Spanish giant.

He said “At this level, it’s always about small margins. It’s a two-legged tie, so you don’t have to go crazy.”

De Bruyne provide his quality once again when he managed to grab a winning goal against Leyton Orient in the FA Cup.

Belgian international admitted that his side faced the worst season ever and they will not allow that to be stumbling block.

De Bruyne said “We know why we play these games, because we didn’t do well enough before. The quality is there for both teams.”

Manager Pep Guardiola echoed De Bruyne’s sentiments, urging his players to focus on execution rather than emotion as they aim to progress in Europe.

With Real Madrid edging City out on penalties in last season’s quarter-finals, this matchup promises another thrilling chapter in their rivalry.
