Manchester United managed to share spoil with log leaders Liverpool over the weekend at Anfield Stadium.
Amorim managed to come up with plan as his side were playing without the service of Portuguese international Bruno Fernandez.
The red divels were supposed to walk away with full three points but it was not meant to be as Harry Maguire missed a sitter on the dying minutes of the game.
But that was not the case why Bruno Fernandez was left disappointed after the match, Portuguese international was shocked by the way fans treated his team mate.
Manchester United faithful were busy booing Joshua Zirkzee during their fixture against Newcastle United.
During that fixture Zirkzee didn’t managed to play 45 minutes, as he was substituted on 33rd minute of the game and they cheers when he left the field.
The young forward, visibly affected, reportedly became tearful after heading down the tunnel only to return to the bench later.
Manchester United and Portugal international star missed the fixture due to a match suspension after collecting four yellow cards.
Fernandez shared how it was for the young star and he also revealed that he felt the pain Zirkzee felt.
He said “I was in the stands and I’ve never seen something like this.”
Fernandez went on to plea with clubs faithful to have patience and show love and support to the other players within the club.
He said “And it really frustrates me and annoys me because he’s a player that always gives it his all.”
Bruno Fernandez highlighted that some fans must understand that it’s not easy for players to join the team and produce positive results immediately.
He said “As a player that is coming into the team from a different league, he needs time to adapt but, he has huge qualities.”
He went on to explain that Zirkzee is under pressure because of the media publication that hyped him as a top notch striker.
Fernandez said “He hasn’t shown all the quality but it can’t be that from the first game of the season everyone was hyping him as one of the best strikers and now everyone does not believe in him anymore.
“We do believe in him inside the dressing room. I would rather be myself in this position against Newcastle and not seeing one of my team-mates in that position.”
Manchester United next game will be against Arsenal on Sunday 12th January 2025 for FA Cup round 3 kickoff set at 17:00
