Mayor of Tzaneen set to discuss the issue of water and Electricity with stakeholders

As we all know that South Africa like any other countries across Africa, experience the challenge of service delivery.

Amongst those lack of service delivery is lack of job opportunity, infrastructure development and water crisis together with load shedding.

Tzaneen like any other city across South Africa is one of the city/place that experience the shortage of water and electricity.

A Greater Tzaneen Municipality Mayor, and Cllr Gerson Molapisane, is currently engaging with key stakeholders to address ongoing water and electricity challenges affecting Nkowankowa.

The meeting brings together representatives from Mopani District Municipality, Eskom, and the Greater Tzaneen Municipality (GTM) to find sustainable solutions to service delivery issues impacting the community.

This engagement follows a meeting held on 4 March 2025 between Mayor Molapisane and members of Hlakahlaka, a community group representing Nkowankowa residents.

The group had raised concerns over prolonged load reduction and inconsistent water supply, warning of potential protest action.
