Employment and Labour Minister Honourable Ms Nomakhosazana Meth in partnership with the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality is leading a build up campaign in Kuyga at the Kuyga Community Hall, Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape.
The build up campaign is done in relation to the presidential visit and is aimed at Taking Services to the People.
The Department of Employment and Labour has brought all its services on wheels that is the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) Applications, Claims assessment, Processing of payments and ensuring that all enquiries are resolved.
Public Employment Services (PES) is also providing Registration of work seekers on the Employment Services of South Africa (ESSA) database for possible placement in various forms of employment or learning opportunities.
The Compensation Fund (CF) Applications, Claims review and enquiries pertaining to occupational injuries and diseases.
The Inspection and Enforcement Services (IES) is conducting Blitz inspections in the Hospitality sector, other stakeholders present and providing services are Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality, Department of Home Affairs, Department of Social Development, SASSA, IEC, and Standard Bank.
