Municipality of Phalaborwa is taking/deliver the service to the people

The Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) of Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality today, Tuesday, 29 April 2025, conducted a site visit to several key service delivery projects currently underway in the area.

As part of their quarterly monitoring program, the committee assessed the progress of projects aimed at enhancing infrastructure and improving the lives of Ba-Phalaborwa residents.

The projects visited included:1.Upgrading of Aubrey car wash to Kanana:

The project involves the transformation of the road from gravel to paved concrete interlocking bricks, promising improved accessibility and durability 2.

Upgrading of Honeyville to Sebera: Similar to the Aubrey car wash project, this initiative focuses on upgrading the road from gravel to paved concrete, ensuring better connectivity for the Honeyville and Sebera communities.3.Installation of precast stormwater culvert at Tension Pilusa Graveyard:

This crucial infrastructure development aims to improve drainage and prevent waterlogging at the graveyard, ensuring a more dignified environment.4 Upgrading of Benfarm Road Phase 2:

This project focuses on further improving the Benfarm Road, enhancing transportation and accessibility for residents and businesses in the area.

The Chairperson of the MPAC Committee, Cllr Petrus Mukhari, expressed his satisfaction with the progress observed during the site visits.

He stated, “So far, we are pleased with the work being done on these vital projects. It is encouraging to see that they are on the right track to be completed within the agreed timelines.

The MPAC’s oversight role is crucial in ensuring accountability and transparency in the implementation of service delivery projects.

These regular monitoring visits allow the committee to identify any potential challenges early on and ensure that projects are executed efficiently and effectively for the benefit of the Ba-Phalaborwa community.
