Municipality of Polokwane issued apology letter to PSL after light went off during yesterday’s fixture

Fixture between Magesi FC vs Chippa United was forced to be rescheduled due to the stadium faulty.

The match stopped on 21st minute of first half after the light of stadium failed to kick on/switched on.

Visiting side got a goal from Bafana Bafana Midfielder Sinoxolo Kwayiba, while home side scored through Vandala on 2nd minute of the game.

The match was the first to be played in Seeshego sports ground after the PSL approved it last month.

Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala says necessary measures will be put in place to prevent similar incidents.

He said “We regret the unforeseen technical issue with the floodlights at Seshego Stadium last night.

“We understand the inconvenience caused and assure the public that thorough investigations are underway to identify the root cause and implement measures to prevent a recurrence. All necessary tests were conducted prior to the match.”
