Natal Rich boys confirmed that their transfer ban has been lifted by FIFA

Richards Bay FC have confirmed that their transfer ban has been lifted by FIFA though their club website page.

The club was recently sanctioned by world football governing body FIFA due to their failure to settle outstanding payments owed to former defender Abdi Hassan Banda.

Club wrote: “Richards Bay Football Club would like to confirm that the matter between the club and FIFA regarding the registration ban has been lifted.

“The club is now free to sign any available player.”

Banda, a Tanzanian international, joined Richards Bay during the 2022/23 season from fellow PSL side Chippa United.

But his stint wasn’t fruitful as he stayed for only one season then after his departure he joined motsepe foundation side Baroka FC.

According to Sbnews: Banda left limpopo side in January, where he returned to Tanzania and signed with Dodoma Jiji FC.

With the ban lifted, Richards Bay can now focus on ending the season stronger and continue to look at players who will help strengthen their squad for next season.

Richards Bay will face Rise and Shine [Polokwane City] after international break on Sunday 30th March and kickoff set at 15:30.
