Orlando Pirates mentor Jose Riveiro joined the club two years ago with a record of won 17 of his 23 cup ties of trophies under his belt.
He joined the Buccaneers from a team in Sweden and he Inter Turku from Finland and went to prove his doubters wrong by transforming Orlando Pirates.
Jose ‘the Spanish guitar’ Riveiro has entered his final three year contract with Buccaneers and they are some rumors that he might leave the club at the end of the season.
On this season alone Riveiro managed to defend MTN8, now reached group stages of CAF Champions League and lead Pirates to a first position on the Betway Premiership with 7/7 victory.
On his interview with Robert Marawa on Marawa Sports Show on Wednesday, 13 November, the Spanish tactician highlighted that he won’t give proper answers.
Reviero said “It’s a good question, an important one probably for many people, I’ll give you the standard answer, which is I’m sorry to disappoint you and disappoint your listeners as well.”
When asked if Club has drafted a new contract for him, Spanish tactician emphasized that he is more focused on task at hand.
Reviero said “Right now, we’re in a very important period of the season, We’re in the middle of the fifth month of the season; we’re not even halfway.”
Riveiro’s primary concern is guiding Pirates to the league title and making a significant impact in the CAF Champions League.
He said “We have to grab this moment with all of our strength, We’re in the football business; you never know what’s going to happen in the future.
“Like I said, there’s going to be a moment to talk about it and be honest about it, and we will see what happens.”
Riveiro together with his troops will be hoping to maintain the fine form as they will be facing CR Belouizdad on 26th November for CAF Champions League.
