Polokwane City midfielder revealed what national team coach want from them

Polokwane City midfielder Oswin Appollis is part of the squad that secured a ticket for the upcoming AFCON in Morocco.

Appollis played a huge role for the national team and on the last game of AFCON Qualifiers at DHL Stadium was selected as man of the match.

On the final day of qualifier, players such as Iqraam Rayners Patrick Maswanganyi and Teboho Mokoena scored one each to hand South Suadan 3-0 defeat.

South African (Bafana Bafana) were placed on group K and they finished the campaign without a defeat.

During the post interview with South African Broadcasting Channel (SABC 1), he revealed what kept them pushing soo hard.

Appollis said “No, I was not surprised because he wanted to win and he has a winning mentality. There are no such games as friendlies or so, he wants us to win all the games we play.

“I have to give credit to coach Hugo for looking at me and giving me an opportunity and for that I will always be proud, and I just want to thank the boys for today.

“Everyone fought. The players from the bench played a big part after coming in and happy for the result.”

Appollis will be hoping to help his club side when Rise and Shine will be visiting Cape Town City on 27th November for Betway Premiership.

NB: Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos announced that he will not release players early after AFCON Qualifiers and he also mentioned that he will ask SAFA to organize a friendly match.
