We have seen movies/ drama between players their coach showing/display their feelings after denied game opportunity.
One of the practical example is when Pep Guardiola had little fight with his striker Gabriel Jesus after sub the striker.
Real Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti also shared his experience he had with some players at Madrid camp.
Ancelotti said “Sometimes it seems we are not appreciated enough. I would like to be a fly on the wall to listen to what a player says when he is not playing and goes home. Many players have fought with me. but in the end, everything has been resolved.
“There was a player, I won’t give his name, who when I spoke in the dressing room, he would put a towel over his face so as not to hear me. It was at the beginning of his career. One day I told him: ‘We can’t go on like this.’
“There are players who, when you leave them on the bench, find it difficult to greet you in the morning. That’s when they confuse the person with the player.”
He went on to highlight that he doesn’t not have any saying in terms of deciding his future and he also promised that his son will be good coach.
Ancelotti said “I won’t decide when my adventure with Real Madrid will end, that’s clear to me.
“The president will decide and sooner or later it will happen. My son Davide? Yes, he will be a good coach.”
On his closing statement Ancelotti underlined that as coach you must adjust with technology and use different methods.
He said “Now it’s much more complicated than before. Before, I would put in a piece of paper: defensive barrier, who was taking corners, penalties, marks on set pieces and that was it. Now there are clips showing every position of the players.”
Carlo Ancelotti together with his troops will be hoping to close the gap/maintain points with Barcelona.
The next fixture for Real Madrid will be on this Sunday(9th March)as they will be hosting Rayo Valloceno for La Liga and kickoff set at 17:15.
