Real Madrid player believes that their experience helped them to defeat Manchester City yesterday

As UEFA Champions League playoffs started yesterday, Spanish giant managed to emerge as victorious.

Real Madrid were away from home when they were playing against Manchester City during UEFA Champions League playoffs.

Carol Ancelotti’s side defeat Pep Guardiola’s side by 3-2 as players such as Mbappe was on target once again.

After the match Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos believes that their experience when it comes to Champions League helped them to win the fixture.

He said “It was being an unfair match; from the beginning to the end, we created a lot of chances.

“With the game under control, there is a dubious play (in which) (the referee) ends up calling a penalty. The match was complicated for us, but we pulled through with Real Madrid’s DNA yet again.

“I was annoyed to leave with the score against us. We went out with a bit of fear, but when we saw that they weren’t accurate, the team started to believe it a bit more and to move the ball with more speed. It’s a pity about their opener, but that’s the attitude for the second leg.”

Even though Real Madrid is still playing without their most trusted backline, they managed to nutrialize the danger that is being posessed by Manchester City’s attackers.

Dani Ceballos was impressed by how the defence managed to win them the tie against Manchester City.

He said “I would like to stress that it’s not just today: we have been playing very good games. We have to play with this attitude every game. We can’t look at our opponents.

“If the front line run like today, press, if we all run, everything is easier. We are a team capable of beating the best by playing well without the ball.”

Carol Ancelotti together with his troops will be hoping to carry on where they left off against Manchester City when they will be traveling to face Osasuna on Saturday 15th February for La Liga and kickoff set at 17:15.
