Richards Bay FC co-coach gave his thoughts regarding performance of Chiefs

After claiming all maximum points against Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday, the former Golden Arrows player Papi Zothwane shared his thoughts about Chiefs.

Zothwane said he believes Chiefs are just going through an ordinary bad phase, which other clubs “like Orlando Pirates” have also experienced.

He feels Amakhosi have quality players in their team but have unfortunately not seen things go their way recently.

Zothwane said “No, I don’t think [this is the most vulnerable Chiefs we’ve ever seen]. Personally, that’s my observation and opinion; maybe I might be wrong.

“I think Chiefs have got good players; they have got good players. It’s just that maybe it’s a phase and a patch that things are not happening.

“They have got good personnel. Sometimes, it’s just that things are not happening. It has happened to many other teams as well, like [Orlando] Pirates.”

On his conclusion former Magesi FC assistant coach revealed that according to him club(Chiefs) have quality players, it’s just unfortunate that they are not on the right path.

Zothwane said “So, maybe now that’s what is happening to them. But I think in terms of quality, they have quality. It’s just that things aren’t happening the way they want.”

Amakhosi’s next challenge in the league will be a clash against Golden Arrows on 30 March. The match is scheduled to take place at the Mpumalanga Stadium in Hammarsdale.

While Richards Bay on their next fixture they will be away from home where they will face Polokwane City on Sunday 30th March and kickoff set at 15:30.
