Rise and Shine coach revealed that his side doesn’t have any upper hand against Pirates and the pitch won’t favor them

It is true when they say you can’t not defeat the snake inside of the whole, but its not always case where home side always win on their own ground.

Over the weekend Polokwane City will be home playing against their hoody club Orlando Pirates.

Polokwane City coach Phuti Mohafe revealed that despite using congested ground, that won’t help them to beat Buccaneers.

He said “I don’t think playing Pirates at the Old Peter Mokaba is an advantage for us because they’ve been playing on pitches like this all over the country and they are used to such pitches.”

The last time when Orlando Pirates were playing at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium was against Supersport United during Quater-finals of Nedbank Cup.

Mohafe went on to highlight how strong their opponents looks like and noted that it is not easy for them[Pirates] to beat his side.

He said “Pirates are a confident in terms of their play. They always beat us but they know it’s not easy to play against Polokwane City.”

Orlando Pirates hold good record against Polokwane City as they managed to defeat Rise and Shine 9 times out of 17 league fixtures while seven ended in a stalemate and one in Rise and Shine’s favour.

Mohafe want his side to start collecting maximum points against Pirates as they want to secure their spot inside of top 8.

He said “It’s very important for us to win home games to remain in the top eight. We are left with four games at home [in fact it’s three against Pirates, SuperSport United and AmaZulu, with Royal AM now likely to be expelled from the league] and if we can win all of them, that would put us to 46 points and that would mean we’re in the top eight.”

Last Sunday, Rise and Shine thumped Richards Bay 3-1 at home to end their eight-game winless streak across all competitions.

On his conclusion Rise and Shine coach intended to turn their home ground into unforseen/slaughter territory.

Mohafe said “I think we haven’t lost more than three games at home [they’ve won six of their 11 home league games with three draws and two defeats], so we always make sure we don’t lose at home.”

Polokwane City will host Pirates at this venue(Old Peter Mokaba Stadium) in the league tomorrow and kickoff setat(3pm).
