SA Government urges everyone to take action/ fight against GBV

In the past few months South Africa record high number of Gender based violence across the country.

The are many cases that are reported where partners (Male and Female) lost their lives in the hands of their loved ones.

The shocking case that made waves and trend online, was when a 6 year old child was raped by a 58 year old man.

Apart of that, other case that shocked South Africa was the case of Lawrence from KwaZulu-Natal where he killed a lady and also took his own life.

Even in Limpopo province, case was reported where a girlfriend killed his boyfriend by cutting his(boyfriend) private part.

They are some partners who are going through GBV stage but they are afraid to report their spouse to the police station.

Now the South African government has urged each and everyone either being abused or saw such incident to step forward in order to stop this issue.

Now it is time to say enough is enough and standing side by side while creating safe and healthy relationship/ environment.

The government have made some effort to warn those perpetrators and support the victims of GBV.

They wrote “While we’ve made strides in addressing Gender-based Violence and Femicide (GBVF), there’s still so much more to achieve. Together, let’s continue working toward a safer, more equal future for all. 🌍✊#EndGBVF #TogetherWeCan #GovZAupdates”.
