The ‘Bright Stars’ will takes on Hugo Broos’s side later on tonight at DHL Stadium in Cape Town for last game of AFCON Qualifiers.
South Africa (Bafana Bafana) have already qualified for next year’s show piece that will be hosted in Morocco.
South Sudan’s coach opted to select only 15 players that are going to test and challenge Bafana Bafana who are seeking to retain first spot on group k.
After announcing his 15 man squad, Nichola Dupuis backed up his decision by refraining that tickets are expensive.
He said “Congratulations to South Africa on qualifying for AFCON. We have only 14 or 15 players here, the tickets were too expensive. But we are fighters, our players are in very good spirits and we will do our best.”
Dupuis highlighted that they will also use this game as preparation for the upcoming CHAN tournament.
He said “We have to prepare for our second round of eliminators for CHAN, we play Rwanda in December. We are here to prepare for that one and to play a beautiful game against a beautiful team.”
The ‘’Bright Stars’ (South Sudan) during the qualifiers for the Afcon tournament in Morocco next year, managed to collect only three points in five matches in Group K.
