Supersport United coach not happy with the growing calls for his retirement

Supersport United is currently under performing team in top elite league in South Africa.

Even though management seems un bothered about teams performance, some fans have raised up their concerns.

With some spectators have come to the conclusion that former Bidvest Wits coach should just quit the coaching industry.

After helping Matsatsantsa a Pitore reaching last 8 of Nedbank Cup yesterday, Gavin Hunt noted down how he feels with the opinion of supporters who want him to retire from coaching.

He said “When I hear that, I get very offended because I mean… I must be careful what I say here.”

Hunt went on to remind those people who want him gone from coaching industry about his achievement as a coach.

He said “But you can put all the managers together and they’ve not won what I won. So now you are going to throw me away because of 10 bad games with the other 900 games having been good? You’ve got to be very careful.

“I look all around the world, even in business, and see how we are quick to throw away. They say, ‘it’s time to go; he must retire.”

Hunt also touched on the quality that his side posses as something that doesn’t allow him to excel.

He said “And then you bring someone in, and there’s a little upsurge, but then what? You can’t be throwing experience away,” he cautioned. He then addressed the question of his own passion and motivation.

“Maybe if I’ve lost the passion and the desire and love to come and be the first one here in the morning like I was today. I don’t have to be here first, but if I lose that and the passion goes obviously that’s another thing.”

On his closing stage former Kaizer Chiefs coach highlighted that he want to improve his side and want to win titles.

Hunt said “But I still want to improve, and I still want to win.”

Hunt together with his troops will be hoping to build from this victory moving forward and improve their log standing.
