Most of players across the world when they are close to leave their clubs, most of them are reduced into the game time.
Inter Miami striker Luis Suarez was one of those players whom received the same treatment in Spain at Barcelona FC.
Suarez left Barca for Atletico Madrid and promptly helped them win the 2020/21 LaLiga title.
Suarez highlighted how he had to deal with the treatment and noted that he thought he was going to secure contract as he contributed enough.
He said “I don’t live in the past and I don’t hold grudges, but I went through a very bad time when I left Barcelona.”
Suarez revealed that he was hoping to stay at the club as he was one of the top goalscorer in Barcelona camp during that time.
He said “I felt I still had what it took to play for Barça. I was the top scorer after (Lionel) Messi. I didn’t score less than 20-25 goals a season…
“Then Atlético Madrid came along and opened the doors to me. That motivated me. My mission was to show Barcelona that they had made a mistake, and repay Atlético for the faith they had in me.”
On his conclusion Suarez highlighted that he was preferring top league and he cherish the fact that he won it.
He said “And we won La Liga, I value that title a lot.”
