[MEET OUR MEMBERS]Lieutenant Colonel Netshivhumbe has been honoured with the Administration Employee of the Year level 8-12 award at the 2025 Limpopo Excellence Awards a well-deserved recognition of her unwavering commitment, leadership, and innovation in public service.One of her most inspiring initiatives at Mokopane Police Station is the weekly cleanup campaign launched in response to the station having only one cleaner. Every Wednesday, she rolls up her sleeves and joins the support staff to clean the station premises. This simple yet powerful act of leadership by example has not only uplifted team morale but also fostered a culture of unity, pride, and responsibility in the workplace.Her journey through the ranks is a testament to her dedication and professional excellence. In October 2010, she was promoted to Administration Clerk Level 5 within the Lephalale Cluster. Just two years later, in August 2012 she rose to the rank of Lieutenant (now known as Captain at the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI)in Limpopo, where she led with distinction, particularly in supply chain management.In November 2024, she reached another milestone, being promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and taking on the role of Support Head at Mokopane Police Station. In this capacity, she oversees key operational areas including Finance Administration, Supply Chain Management, and Human Resource Management all of which benefit from her strategic oversight and ethical leadership.Her professional foundation was laid in Thohoyandou, where she began her career as a supply chain clerk. These early experiences shaped her grounded, disciplined, and service-oriented leadership style — qualities that continue to define her career.A firm believer in hard work, continuous improvement, and servant leadership, Lieutenant Colonel Netshivhumbe exemplifies what is possible through determination, humility, and vision. Her rise from clerk to the boardroom is more than a career journey it’s a powerful story of excellence in service.
