MMC for Infrastructure at Capricorn District Municipality addressed the issue of lack of service delivery

According to municipal statement: THE- PHAUDI – Capricorn District Municipality (CDM) has met with Mantona in Ga-Phaudi to address pressing service delivery concerns, particularly around water supply and road infrastructure.

The meeting, held today, was led by the Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Infrastructure, Cllr. Maite Mohale, who was accompanied by Ward 15 Councillor Phuti Masoga and Ward 16 Councillor Molema Nong.

Community representatives raised frustrations over inconsistent water reticulation, especially in newly developed village extensions, as well as the poor state of local roads that are in urgent need of tarring and re-gravelling.

Residents also raised an issue about pump operators, allegedly not cooperating with communities, further worsening water supply challenges.

MMC Mohale assured residents that CDM is committed to finding sustainable solutions(how to manage the problem citizens encounter).

She said “We have heard the concerns and we will work closely with Molemole Municipality to address these infrastructure gaps.”

The meeting forms part of CDM’s ongoing efforts to engage communities directly and fast-track service delivery across the district.
