Today, Eskom participated in the Forbes Woman Africa Leading Women Summit 2026, reinforcing our commitment to women empowerment, leadership excellence, and shaping Africa’s energy future.
Eskom’s Chief People Officer, Dr. Candice Hartley, joined an inspiring panel discussion on “Lessons on Unlocking the Growth Mindset Amid Economic Uncertainties.”
She reflected on Eskom’s evolving role in the energy market and the significant impact it has as the largest utility on the African continent.
Dr. Hartley also highlighted the resilience and transformational leadership demonstrated by Eskom’s leaders during periods of uncertainty and crisis.
She highlighted why it is important for the Eskom’s purpose-driven culture: “To lead is to serve. Even when it’s difficult, keep serving.”
This ethos has guided Eskom’s guardians through the most challenging chapter in the organisation’s history and continues to propel us forward as we build a more sustainable, inclusive energy future for South Africa and Africa.
