Hugo Broos set to play his second game of World largest competition across the enter global.
Bafana Bafana lost their opening game against the host nation Mexico by score line of 2-0, where Broos troops finished the game with less players.
Ahead of second game against Czechia later today, Bross will have to fight without Yaya Sthole and Themba Zwane after they received red card against Mexico.
Today’s fixture between South Africa and Czechia is a must win for both nations after they have lost their opening games by 2-0 and 2-1 respectively.
At this year competition South Africa becomes another part of the African countries that have lost on their opening games.
Out of ten African countries only four lost their opening which are: South Africa, Senegal, Algeria and Tunisia while only two countries managed to secure maximum[Ivory Coast and Ghana] and other countries managed to get 1 point from their opening games[Egypt, Cape Veder, DR Congo and Morocco]
NB: South Africa’s all-time FIFA World Cup record stands at 2 wins, 4 draws, and 4 defeats across 10 total matches. Following their 2–0 opening-match loss to Mexico in Group A, Bafana Bafana have scored 11 goals and conceded 18 across four tournament appearances (1998, 2002, 2010, and 2026).
NOTE: Bafana makes their fourth appearance at World Cup competition, first time it was back in 1998 at France.
