Capricorn District Municipality Cllr addressed issues the Limpopo citizens face

Executive Mayor of Capricorn District Municipality, Cllr. Mamedupi Teffo convened the Mayor Magoshi Forum at Landmark Lodge in Polokwane.

The forum forms part of the quarterly Inter-Governmental Relations (IGR) programme, which seeks to enhance cooperative governance and ensure meaningful engagement between municipalities and traditional leadership structures.

Recognising that the district is predominantly under the jurisdiction of Magoshi, the Executive Mayor emphasised the importance of not only consulting but also actively involving traditional leaders in municipal governance processes.

Chairperson of the District House of Traditional Leaders, Kgoshi Kgabo III Moloto, commended the meeting, describing the forum as a vital platform for constructive dialogue and collaboration.

Traditional leaders were provided with updates on key service delivery initiatives, including the district road network by Road Agency Limpopo (RAL), Eskom’s plans on load shedding and load reduction, as well as progress on ongoing water and sanitation projects across the district.

The Mayor Magoshi Forum reaffirms the district’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships with traditional leadership in driving sustainable development and responsive governance.

Magoshi raised[pointed out the problem her people are facing] issues and made inputs on the presentations received.
