Lusikisiki Police have arrested two male suspects withholding unregistered Gun

Two male suspects, aged between 25 and 30, were arrested in separate incidents in Flagstaff on Monday, following swift police action and valuable community cooperation.

In the first incident, Lusikisiki Public Order Police were patrolling along the R61 near Nkonzo locality, when they received information about a 25-year-old male allegedly in possession of an unlicensed firearm.

The suspect was tactically approached, and police recovered a 9mm pistol with ammunition.

The firearm’s serial number was found to be intact.In a separate incident later that day, at about 16:00, Flagstaff Crime Prevention members acted on information about a 30-year-old man from Mfundisweni locality, who was seen driving in town while allegedly armed.

Police intercepted the suspect and recovered a 9mm pistol with an erased serial number, along with ammunition.

Both suspects[were caught with untraceable gun] failed to produce firearm licences and were arrested on the spot.

It is alleged that suspect[three males]are expected to appear before the Flagstaff Magistrate’s Court soon.
